Our annual PCOS Awareness 5K took place in September 2015 for PCOS Awareness Month. The 5K is held at Homesteader Park in Powell, Wyoming and helps promote our monthly PCOS Support Group. Everyone had a fun time and we can't wait for our next 5K in September 2016. To spread awareness about PCOS and for Powell's local PCOS Support Group, we will be hosting a PCOS Awareness 5K Walk on Saturday, September 19th in Powell, Wyoming. The walk will begin at 9AM at Homesteader Park. Wyo Cysters' goal is to create a community for women and girls with PCOS in Wyoming. PCOS (Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) is a metabolic disorder that is the number one cause of infertility in women. It can cause a whole host of symptoms and if left untreated could cause type 2 diabetes, heart disease, uterine cancer or ovarian cancer. By walking with us you are helping to get the word out about our support group that just started this year. Throw on some teal and come walk in this FREE 5K walk.
